About Ribbon Cuttings

The West I-10 Chamber welcomes new members and new businesses by providing a ribbon cutting event. These events are published on our web site and in the local newspapers. It's just one more way we serve our members and promote your business.

October 22 marked the official opening of the new Woods Road interchange. Judge Ralston cut the ribbon with Waller County Sheriff's Department, Waller County Economic Development Partnership, the West I-10 Chamber of Commerce and landowners in attendance.

Woods Road is the main artery for the proposed Prairie Parkway. This is a stretch of road that will link I-10 and Hwy. 290 to create a quicker route to and from the northern end of Waller County.

Landowners J. D. Woods, Robert McMillan, and Marhaba Partners contributed the land for the project. October 28, 2009
